Investing in the Future: Gwagwalada Area Council Awards Scholarships to Indigent Students

Supporting Education, Empowering the Next Generation

In a bid to promote higher education and support students from less privileged backgrounds, the Gwagwalada Area Council has inaugurated a Scholarship Committee to oversee financial aid for indigent students in tertiary institutions.

The initiative, championed by Hon. Abubakar Jibrin-Giri, aims to lessen the financial burden on parents and ensure that deserving students have access to quality education. The Scholarship Committee is headed by Alh. Garba Jibrin-Zuba, a retired educationist and former Education Secretary, who brings a wealth of experience to the selection and award process.

By providing financial assistance to students, the Council is investing in the future of its youth, empowering them to achieve academic excellence and contribute meaningfully to society.
